Before starting, conduct a comprehensive inspection to check the levels of diesel, engine oil, hydraulic oil, and coolant for normality and leaks; assess the wear of drill rods and drill bits, and replace damaged components promptly; tighten tracks, bolts, and connecting pins to ensure no looseness or abnormal noises in transmission parts; and inspect the electrical system, instruments, sensors, and safety devices to guarantee intact wiring and normal signals.
During operation, follow standardized procedures and monitor in real time. Avoid prolonged overload operation, reduce violent actions such as sudden stops, rapid rotations, or hard drilling to minimize impact loads on the engine, hydraulic system, and structural components. Continuously monitor abnormal conditions like temperature, pressure, or unusual noises. If issues such as leaks, shaking, or power decline are detected, immediately stop the machine for inspection. Never operate with faults to prevent minor issues from escalating into severe damage.
Post-operation maintenance is equally important. Clean mud, sand, and debris from drill rods, tracks, and undercarriage promptly to prevent accelerated wear from sediment buildup; park the equipment properly, retract the drill rod, cut off power, and apply rust and dust prevention measures. Regularly replace engine oil, oil filters, diesel filters, and hydraulic oil filters, check hydraulic oil cleanliness, and maintain key components like the slewing mechanism and gear reducer to ensure proper lubrication. Additionally, maintain detailed maintenance records and perform first-level and second-level maintenance on schedule based on construction duration and conditions, focusing on core components such as the engine, hydraulic system, winch, and drill rod.
Only by adhering to standardized, routine maintenance can rotary drilling rigs maintain optimal performance, extend service life, and provide continuous, reliable support for construction projects.
