Bridge Pile Foundation Construction: Review of Efficient Application Cases of Rotary Drilling Rigs 2025-10-31
For the construction of 126 pile foundations of the approach bridge of a river-crossing bridge, the Sany SR235-C10 rotary drilling rig was selected as the main equipment to solve the problems of complex geology and high groundwater level.
By adjusting parameters to adapt to different soil layers, the drilling rig increased the efficiency by nearly 3 times. 126 pile foundations were completed in 102 days, shortening the construction period by 15% and reducing the cost by 12% compared with the plan.
Finally, the proportion of Class I piles reached 98%, which confirms the efficiency and reliability of the rotary drilling rig in bridge pile foundation construction and provides a reference for similar projects.
