When summer comes, we humans are afraid of the heat, and rotary drilling RIGS are also afraid of "heatstroke"! When machines operate for a long time at high temperatures, dust accumulation and poor heat dissipation can easily cause malfunctions. To ensure the equipment can safely survive the scorching summer, the dust cleaning and heat dissipation work of these six key parts must be taken seriously.

1. The surface of the radiator: The radiator is like the "outdoor air conditioner" of a drilling rig. Once its surface is covered with dust or willow catkins, the heat cannot be dissipated at all. Every few days, a high-pressure air gun should be used to blow from the inside out to "drive away" all the stubborn dust.

2. Engine compartment: The engine compartment is the "heart" of the drilling rig. Dust is prone to accumulate around various pipelines and components. When cleaning, do not use brute force. First, use a soft-bristled brush to sweep away large pieces of dust, and then use an air gun to clean the gaps to prevent dust from entering the engine interior.

3. Hydraulic oil cooler: The hydraulic oil gets hot and is cooled down by it. If it is blocked by dirt, the hydraulic system is prone to "tantrum". When inspecting, pay attention to whether the heat sink is deformed and use compressed air to clear the clogged pores.

4. Electrical control cabinet: This is the "brain" of the drilling rig. Excessive dust may cause a short circuit. Before cleaning, be sure to cut off the power and wipe with a dry soft cloth to prevent water vapor from entering and affecting the normal operation of the circuit.

5. Fan and protective cover: When the fan rotates, it will attract a lot of dust, and the protective cover is also prone to getting stuck by debris. When cleaning, remember to check whether the fan blades are deformed and whether the protective cover is firm to ensure smooth ventilation.

6. Air filter: It serves as a "gatekeeper" to prevent dust from entering the engine. In summer, when the working conditions are harsh, the filter element is more prone to clogging. Regularly inspect and replace the filter element in a timely manner as per the instructions to allow the engine to "breathe" clean air.

In summer, doing a good job in cleaning the dust and dissipating heat of the rotary drilling rig is just like taking measures to prevent heatstroke and cool down the equipment. The above six key parts should be frequently inspected and cleaned on a daily basis to ensure the stable operation of the drilling rig under high temperatures, without delaying the project progress and also extending the service life of the equipment!
