If they are not properly protected and maintained, problems such as short circuits and component rust may occur, which not only affect the construction progress but may also shorten the service life of the equipment. Therefore, targeted protection and maintenance work should be carried out.

1. Waterproof protection of the electrical system: It is necessary to inspect the sealing rubber strips of the electrical components such as the cab, distribution box, and motor of the second-hand rotary drilling rig. Any damaged parts should be replaced in time. At the same time, apply waterproof glue at the terminal blocks to prevent rainwater from seeping in and causing short circuits. After construction, wipe the water stains on the surface of the electrical components with a dry cloth in time.

2. Moisture-proof maintenance of the hydraulic system: Regularly inspect the sealing condition of the hydraulic oil tank cover to prevent rainwater from mixing into the hydraulic oil. Before each construction, check the hydraulic oil level and quality. If emulsification of the oil is found, it should be replaced immediately. 4. Anti-slip protection for the walking system: During the rainy season, the construction site is prone to water accumulation and mud. It is necessary to check the wear of the track plates or tires. When the wear is severe, they should be replaced in time to enhance the anti-slip performance. Before construction, the silt on the tracks or tires should be cleared. If necessary, steel plates or crushed stones should be laid on the site to prevent the equipment from slipping and getting stuck.

5. Engine intake and exhaust protection: Check if the engine air filter is installed tightly. A waterproof filter screen can be added to the air intake to prevent rainwater from being sucked into the engine. After construction, check if there is any water accumulation in the exhaust pipe. If there is water accumulation, start the engine and let it idle to expel the water through exhaust to prevent engine damage.

6. Daily parking moisture-proof measures: When second-hand rotary drilling RIGS are parked at night or idle, they should be placed in a higher ground with good drainage under a rain shelter. If they are parked outdoors, a rain cover should be placed on top of the equipment, and heavy objects should be used to press it down to prevent it from being moved by the wind. At the same time, wooden blocks should be placed at the bottom of the equipment to avoid water accumulation on the ground soaking the components.
