Second-hand rotary drilling RIGS, having been in use for a period of time, require more attention to the wear and tear of their vulnerable parts. Reasonably grasping the replacement cycle of vulnerable parts can not only ensure construction safety but also improve construction efficiency and avoid project delays caused by component damage.

1. Drill bit: The replacement cycle mainly depends on the construction stratum. When working in soft soil layers, it is generally necessary to check and replace it every 500 to 800 meters drilled. If in hard strata such as rock layers, the degree of wear should be checked every 200 to 300 meters drilled. If the wear is severe, it should be replaced in time. When the tooth seat of the drill bit is loose and the wear of the cutting teeth exceeds 50%, it needs to be replaced even if the drilling mileage has not been reached.


2. Steel wire rope: Generally, when the number of broken wires in a steel wire rope reaches 10% of the total number of wires or the diameter wear reduction exceeds 7% of the original diameter, it needs to be replaced immediately. If the construction environment is humid and contains many corrosive substances, the replacement cycle should be shortened by 20% to 30% to prevent the steel wire rope from rusting and breaking prematurely.


3. Drill pipe sealing ring: During normal use, it is necessary to check whether the sealing ring is leaking every 300 to 500 hours of operation. If there is mud leakage or a decline in sealing effect, it should be replaced in time. The sealing rings of second-hand drilling RIGS may have the risk of aging. They need to be inspected carefully within 100 hours after the first use to prevent drilling from being affected by sealing ring problems.


4. Guide wheel: When the rim of the guide wheel wears more than 30% of its original thickness, or when the wheel body deforms or the bearing makes abnormal noise, it needs to be replaced. During earthwork construction, the guide wheels need to undergo a comprehensive inspection every 800 to 1,000 hours of operation. If abnormal wear is detected, the replacement cycle should be advanced.


5. Bucket teeth: Bucket teeth are high-frequency wear components. During construction in ordinary soil layers, they need to be inspected every 200 to 300 cubic meters of soil excavated. They should be replaced when worn to half of their original height. If crushed stone soil is excavated, it is necessary to check every 100 to 150 cubic meters of soil excavated. If necessary, it should be replaced in time to avoid affecting the excavation efficiency.


6. Hydraulic oil filter element: Generally, the hydraulic oil filter element needs to be replaced every 500 to 800 hours of operation. If the construction environment has a lot of dust, the replacement cycle should be shortened to 300 to 500 hours. Regular replacement of the hydraulic oil filter element can prevent impurities from entering the hydraulic system and protect the normal operation of hydraulic components.

It needs to be flexibly adjusted in combination with the construction environment, operation intensity and the actual wear of the components.
