In the low-temperature environment of winter, the mechanical activity of rotary drilling rigs is significantly reduced, and rough starting can easily cause engine wear and hydraulic system impact failures. Standardizing the low-temperature starting process is the primary core of winter construction. Before starting the equipment, a basic inspection of the overall appearance, pipelines, and interfaces must be completed to confirm that there are no icing, leakage, or jamming issues before starting the equipment. Priority should be given to using multiple intermittent starting methods to preheat the machine body by starting and stopping the equipment for a short period of time, in order to avoid damaging the components during a one-time long-term start. It is strictly prohibited to carry out load operation immediately after starting. The equipment should be kept idling for 8 to 10 minutes, gradually increasing the body and base oil temperature. After the equipment runs smoothly and the instrument panel parameters are normal, operate each hydraulic handle in a low-speed no-load cycle to complete the machine preheating, completely avoid mechanical failures caused by low-temperature starting, and ensure stable starting of the equipment.
Hydraulic oil is the core medium for power transmission in rotary drilling rigs. Ordinary room temperature hydraulic oil can experience a sudden increase in viscosity and decreased fluidity in low-temperature environments, leading to unstable system pressure, power lag, and even pipeline pressure build-up faults. During winter construction, it is necessary to replace the cold zone low pour point anti-wear hydraulic oil that is suitable for the low-temperature working conditions on site. L-HV32 low-temperature hydraulic oil can be selected for the conventional minus 15 ℃ environment, and special low-temperature grade oil can be matched for deep low-temperature working conditions to ensure the fluidity and lubricity of the oil at low temperatures. Before changing the oil, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the oil tank, filter element, and impurities in the oil circuit. It is strictly forbidden to mix different brands and grades of hydraulic oil to prevent oil deterioration and failure. At the same time, regularly check the status of the oil, promptly investigate the problems of water ingress and turbidity in the oil, avoid water freezing and affecting the operation of the hydraulic system, and continuously ensure the stable output of the hydraulic power system.
The exposed hydraulic pipelines, water hoses, and joint fittings of the rotary drilling rig are weak links in winter antifreeze. Low temperature residual oil and water are easily frozen and expanded, causing pipeline cracking, seal damage, interface leakage, and other faults, increasing maintenance costs and downtime risks. In daily construction, it is necessary to install specialized insulation protective covers for all exposed pipelines, joints, and hydraulic cylinders to isolate them from low-temperature wind and snow invasion and reduce heat loss from the pipelines. When working outdoors, a simple windproof insulation shed can be built to reduce the overall impact of equipment freezing. After the daily construction is completed, it is necessary to thoroughly drain the residual oil and water inside the pipelines, oil cylinders, and filter elements to prevent residual liquid from accumulating and freezing. It is strictly prohibited to use open flames to bake pipelines. Warm air equipment can be used to uniformly warm and freeze pipelines at a long distance to prevent high temperature damage to pipelines and sealing accessories, and to build a comprehensive anti freezing defense line for pipelines.
In addition to core anti freezing measures, standardized winter operation and maintenance processes can effectively improve the low-temperature construction stability of rotary drilling rigs and reduce equipment wear and tear. During the preheating stage of the equipment, high-speed operation and full load operation are strictly prohibited. The drilling and pile driving operations should be gradually carried out after the hydraulic oil temperature rises to above 25 ℃ and the system pressure stabilizes. During the construction process, monitor the oil temperature, oil pressure, and equipment operation status in real-time. If problems such as slow power and abnormal pipeline noise are found, immediately stop the machine for troubleshooting. Perform daily anti freezing inspections on equipment, focusing on checking pipeline sealing, joint fastening, oil condition, and timely replacement of aging and frozen damaged parts. Through scientific operation and refined maintenance, common winter construction faults are effectively avoided, ensuring efficient and stable operation of rotary drilling rigs around the clock, and greatly extending the service life of equipment.
