Inspection of the overall appearance and working environment of the machine to eliminate basic safety hazards

Rotary drilling rig belongs to large-scale heavy infrastructure construction equipment, with complex working conditions and large operating loads. Environmental and visual inspections before start-up are the first line of defense for safety production. The operators need to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the overall appearance of the equipment, check whether the core components such as the body structure, drill rods, tracks, and frames are deformed, cracked, worn, or loose, and confirm that the body is not corroded or damaged, and that the connecting bolts are tightened in place. At the same time, it is necessary to clean up debris and obstacles in the work area, level and compact the construction ground, and investigate the risks of site collapse and slope slippage. In addition, it is necessary to confirm that there is no high-altitude obstruction or overhead cable interference in the work space, the equipment is parked in a stable posture, and the tracks are completely on the ground, in order to eliminate basic safety hazards from the perspective of environment and equipment appearance, and to establish a solid prerequisite for equipment startup.

Oil and power system verification to ensure stable power output of equipment

The power and oil system are the core operation guarantee of the rotary drilling rig, and also the core link of the start-up inspection, directly determining the stability of the equipment operation. Operators need to check the liquid level and quality of various media such as diesel, hydraulic oil, lubricating oil, coolant, etc. one by one to ensure that the oil level is within the standard scale range, without loss, overflow, deterioration or turbidity, and to prevent problems such as insufficient power, component wear, and high temperature faults caused by insufficient oil. At the same time, check whether there is aging, damage, or leakage in the oil pipes, water pipes, and hydraulic pipelines, whether the pipeline joints are sealed and fastened, and whether there is any looseness, oil leakage, or water leakage hazard. After completing the static inspection, it can be briefly powered on for preheating to confirm that the engine response is normal and the power system has no abnormal noise, ensuring continuous and stable power output after the equipment is started.

Control and electrical system inspection to avoid the risk of operational failure

The electrical control system controls all operation instructions of the equipment, and its operating status directly affects the accuracy and safety of construction operations. Before starting up, it is necessary to thoroughly check whether the battery wiring of the equipment is secure, free of oxidation and looseness, whether the circuit harness is intact, free of wear and exposure, and whether there is a risk of short circuit. Test the instrument panel, operating handle, control buttons, warning lights, horn, reverse warning and other devices one by one to confirm the accurate display of various instrument values, sensitive and effective control components, and normal operation of the warning system. At the same time, check whether the safety protection devices and emergency braking system of the equipment are in good working condition to ensure that they can quickly brake and avoid accidents caused by electrical faults and operational failures in case of emergencies.

Calibration of working devices and accessory components to meet the requirements of construction conditions

Drilling tools, winches, wire ropes and other working devices are the core components of rotary drilling rigs, which are subjected to high-intensity loads for a long time and are prone to wear and fatigue damage. Therefore, they need to be carefully inspected. The operator needs to check the degree of wear of the drill bucket and drill teeth, confirm that there are no serious wear, detachment, or deformation problems, and that the drill rod extends and retracts smoothly, and the connecting buckle is locked in place. Carefully inspect the steel wire rope for any broken wires, rust, deformation, or loose strands, ensure that the rope clamp is securely fixed, and ensure that the hoisting system operates without any jamming. At the same time, check the tension of the track, the flexibility of the walking mechanism and the rotating mechanism, and confirm that all transmission components are lubricated properly. Based on the construction conditions of the day, the working parameters of the equipment should be verified in advance to ensure that the working device is suitable for the drilling depth, geological conditions, construction load and other operational requirements, ensuring efficient construction progress.

Conduct a comprehensive inspection of the no-load test machine to confirm that the equipment meets the standards and is ready for production

After completing the static all-round inspection, the final verification must be completed through an empty load test machine to confirm that the overall condition of the equipment meets the standards before it can be officially put into operation for construction. After starting the equipment, the operator should keep it idling for a period of time, closely monitor the operating sound of the engine, hydraulic system, and rotary walking mechanism, and observe whether there are any abnormal shaking, leakage, abnormal noise, or other issues with the equipment. Slowly operate each control mechanism to complete idle actions such as drill rod extension and contraction, machine body rotation, track walking, and winch lifting, verifying that each mechanism runs smoothly, moves coherently, and has no lagging or deviation. Observe the changes in various data on the dashboard throughout the trial run to ensure that parameters such as pressure, temperature, and speed are within the standard range. After the trial run shows no abnormalities, the rotary drilling rig can be officially put into construction operation, ensuring safe, efficient, and stable operation in all aspects.
