The oil tank of a rotary drilling rig is the "heart" of the hydraulic system. After long-term use, it will accumulate oil sludge, impurities, etc., which will affect the performance of the equipment. Regular cleaning of the fuel tank can reduce malfunctions and extend the service life of the drilling rig. The following are the specific steps.
1. Preparations: First, shut down the machine and ensure the oil tank is cooled down. Prepare the oil collection container, cleaning tools and new hydraulic oil. Disconnect the relevant pipelines of the fuel tank to prevent fuel leakage and environmental pollution.
2. Drain the old oil: Open the oil drain valve at the bottom of the fuel tank and completely drain the old oil. If there is a filter screen at the oil drain port, it should be removed and cleaned simultaneously to prevent impurities from remaining.
3. Initial flushing: Inject an appropriate amount of diesel or special cleaning oil into the fuel tank, start the drilling rig and let the cleaning oil circulate for 10 to 15 minutes to wash away the oil sludge adhering to the inner wall.
4. Internal wiping: After draining the cleaning oil, wipe the inner walls of the fuel tank with a clean cloth or sponge. The corners and welds should be carefully cleaned to avoid any impurities remaining.
5. Inspect components: Check the filter screens, partitions and other components inside the fuel tank. Replace them in time if any are damaged. After confirming there is no looseness or rust, reinstall it in place.
6. Add new oil: New hydraulic oil should be injected through an oil filter to avoid secondary contamination. After filling to the specified liquid level, check the pipeline connection to ensure there is no leakage.
Although the process of cleaning the oil tank of a rotary drilling rig is simple, it requires meticulous operation. Regular cleaning can effectively reduce the wear of the hydraulic system, ensure the efficient and stable operation of the drilling rig, and lower maintenance costs.
