In construction, the efficient operation of rotary drilling RIGS cannot do without suitable drill bits. Different geological conditions are like a series of different "checkpoints", which require corresponding types of drill bits to overcome. Next, we will introduce you to the six common types of drill bits in rotary drilling RIGS.

3

1. Rotary drilling bucket drill bit: This is the most commonly used drill bit, shaped like a large funnel, with a cutting edge on the bucket body. It is suitable for operation in soft layers such as clay and sand. While rotating and cutting, it can also collect the soil residue into the hopper, which is highly efficient and convenient.

2. Tube drill: The tube drill is shaped like a cylinder and is equipped with alloy teeth at the bottom, which can penetrate rock layers like a "hole puncher". When encountering hard rock and gravel layers, the tube drill comes in handy. It removes the core through circular cutting and opens the drilling channel.

3. Truncated drill bit: It is equipped with hard and wear-resistant truncated teeth, as sharp as "teeth". When breaking medium-hardness strata such as hard clay and weathered rock, the truncated drill bit, with its powerful breaking capacity, can easily crack through stubborn geological formations.

4. Cone bit: The cone bit is equipped with a rotatable cone. The alloy teeth on the cone can continuously crush and break the rock while rotating. When dealing with extremely hard rocks such as granite and basalt, the cone drill bit can continuously and efficiently break through the rocks and can be called the "rock Nemesis".

5. Bottom expansion drill bit: The special feature of this type of drill bit is that it can open the wing blades. When it is necessary to expand the bottom diameter of the borehole and create a bottom expansion pile, the bottom expansion drill bit penetrates deep into the bottom of the hole and spreads its fins to complete the bottom expansion operation, meeting the special construction requirements.

6. Sand removal drill bit: The structure design of the sand removal drill bit is conducive to slag suction and is specifically used to retrieve loose sand layers or sediment from the bottom of the hole. When dealing with sediment in the hole and ensuring the quality of the hole formation, it can be quickly cleaned up and is a "scavenger" in construction.

These common drill bits of rotary drilling RIGS each have their own strengths and are tailored to different geological conditions and construction requirements. From soft soil to hard rock, from ordinary drilling to special bottom expansion, each type of drill bit plays a unique role, jointly assisting rotary drilling RIGS in successfully completing tasks in various engineering projects.
